Anti-heroes I. - The Riddler

January is almost over and I can say it was a good month.
I worked on myself ,visited some new places a lot and created  new designs.
I also started to work also on my new Vans shoes Antihero series.
The first one from the bad guys is The Riddler.
U may remember him from the first Batman films ( Jim Carrey played him )...He´s the guy in the                                                    green suit, with a fancy stick and a evil laugh .

I will make a edition of Seven pairs of Vans Anti-hero Slip-on shoes and they all will be for sale.
I ´m prepairing a Exhibition of them in Prague . I will post more informations and pictures here on                                                my blog and also on my instagram account soon...
Itś finaly Friday friends so Let´s go for the weekend and explore something new !

Innsbruck Wall

Hey Mr. Snowman !

Spontanea trips are the best ones and when even someone invites me to to paint his wall," I´m in !"
My two German friends Hans and Kurt (original Thomas and Benjamin ),invited me to come to visit them and paint their wall one day.
I was busy all the time and couldn´t come, but one day my Czech friend Nicol Hovorkova wrote me she needs to go somewhere abroad to clean her head.
So, I just told her"Let´s go to Innsbruck ! We will visit the guys and paint something together !"
Three days later,we were driving  her car on the way to Austria .
We took also my dog Jakub ( the little devil ) with us and he enjoyed the snow so much.
I have never been to Innsbruck and I must say that the city was impresive.
The view on the mountains surrounding of the city was amazing and we were lucky we had nice weather everyday.
The promised Schnietzel for dinner with ourGermans.
Friends decided that they would like from us to paint them a view from a mountain peak with the  Innsbruck city under and also the mountains surrounding.
The moto of this project was " We will do this !"and so We did .
It took us 3 nights and half day,but we made it.
Painting  dayˇn night
This was the first time I painted such a big wall with another artist and it was a great experience.
I really enjoyed painting the mountains with Niki and I think we were a good couple for this job.
The hardest part of the wall was the view on the city, we spend 5 hours painting it.
It was a big challenge for us ,because we never painted a city before, but we made it.
Also thanks to the big help of  Hans and Kurt and their delicious cooking and dj-ing !
Nicky snowing...
In the end, when We looked at our work we were really happy and proud...that We left something from us in Innsbruck.
Our art.

Last day ...Yes ! We did it !
This trip was not just about visiting Innsbruck and painting.
We met with Nicol again after few years, because she was working in USA and nothing changed at all ...We are still the same wild girls full of crazy ideas, maybe few years older ,but still younger at heart.
And We will paint  and travel together again soon !

Thank you Nicol,Hans,Kurt and Baltazar for all the nice time together and I hope to see U all in Prague soon !

Wild Roses

Oh, How I love to receive new colors !
This time my Mum surprised me with some colors for painting on leather.
I never tryed these,so it was something new for me.
I decided to try them on my old fake leather jacket I buyed once in a second hand .

First I wanted to make just some indian stripes on the sleeve of the jacket to see how the colors hold on the fake leather...,but then I got so much into the painting I overpainted the jacket with lots of wild, red roses.
I know Winter just started, but I hope to take out these flowers soon !

Jungle skate design

When Lukas Daněk wrote me to Costa Rica if I would like to join as an artist his project RIDE FOR HAPPINESS  ( http://www.ride4happiness.com  / https://www.facebook.com/RFHappiness?ref=hl )
 I could not say no.
I know Lukas for a long time as a skateboarder and a friend from Czech republic.Few years ago he started to work on this amazing project with his wife Karolina. I´m wathing their work  for longer time and itś always nice to see how they motivate young people and destroy the boundaries between the communities.

"Ride For Happiness aims to discover and nurture new talents in sport, art, and music while promoting positive role models. Working with the Roma community is crucial for us. Through Ride [For Happiness] we want to break [down] negative stereotypes while fighting racism and discrimination of [the] Roma community.”

Itś a big pleasure for me that I can support them with my art!
I always like to support projects and charities that work on to make a better life conditions for children and young people.

I received few skate decks from Lukas and I will overpaint them with some of my nature designs.
They are planning a big exhibition with all the overpainted skateboards from children and artists.
People can also join the auction of the arts to help to support the Ride for happiness project.  I will write you more details about this event soon...I will be happy for everyone who would like to join it.

Here are some pictures of the Jungle skate design I made for them.
I took inspiration from the last trip to Central Amerika with my friends .
Itś full of jungle animals and flora which  I liked there so much.
I painted both sides of the skateboard so that one and the other are interconnected to form a single, jungle image. For overpainting I used edding markers and acrylic colors.
I will put a transparent grip on the top side of the skateboard,so the new owner can normaly use it and also see the designs from both sides.

And here is the finished jungle design ...

knockaround

I´m happy to anounce my new collaboration with the Knockaround sunglasses.
                                                                  http://knockaround.com/
Itś a brand from San Diego ( USA ) makind fashion sunnies with colorfull designs.
They will start to sell their products in Europe from the end of February this year!
I was asked to work on a few handpainted sunglasses with my designs. You can see the whole project soon on their european websites or you can visit their eshop where you can create your own style of sunnglasses too.
I never did something like this before,so itś something new for me,but I´m really looking forward to this.
Thank you also for the support ,I  can´t wait to wear the sunnies on my next trips.

Wolf pups

I was asked to make s maskot for the kids skateboarding school organized by the BOARD magazine.
They wanted from me to draw some designs with the skateboarding puppies.
The kids skateboarding club would be called WOLF PUPS and they could use this maskot on t-shirts or stickers that would kids become.Unfortunately they didn´t find people who would lead the whole project and teach the kids the skateboarding tricks,so the project was suspended until they find someone.
I hope they will find someone for this nice project soon and kids can learn skateboarding instead of hanging  behind their computers all days...

This is a little sketch I made few months ago  using akvarel and blue ink.

VANS HEROES - Poison Ivy

Last from the Heroes crew is not a komix heroe...She belongs to the bad side.
They call her Poison Ivy and you know her from the Batman movie.
This evil and  beautiful woman was fighting Batman with using her natural power to control the plants.
She has long red hair full of leaves and flowers.
Her skin color and costume is green and full of plants

I really enjoyed painting the last pair of Vans shoes for the Losers dance group with this Poison Ivy design, because I liked to make all the details on it.
Also the combination of red and green colors makes a good contrast on the shoe.
